The beautiful Pennines of West Yorkshire.
The power stations in the distance are some 30 miles (50Km) away
Can you imagine this view over a hundred years ago?
No pylons, no wires, no infernal wind turbines and, probably, no factory.
This may have been brewed by the Dutch but it was consumed and carelessly discarded by the English!
Maybe by an ex patron?
By contrast, the city! Crumbling and decaying.
And yet, from out of the ruins springs new life.
Leeds is growing!
Bursting with a renewed energy!
Pushing skywards from its industrial ashes!
It’s new image, floating in the Aire.
Always looking forwards, reflecting upon it’s future.
With the setting sun, I leave the city behind.
Certain that its light will never fade.
For tomorrow is another day.
